Collecting receipts: 1 of 25
The index is published only after 25 approved reviews include itemized line items, so a handful of receipts cannot be passed off as a trend. Until then there is no table and no CSV.
Method
- Source: line items entered by reviewers on /submit, published only after moderation. The receipt checker stores nothing and does not feed the index.
- Medians, not averages, so one extreme receipt cannot move the number.
- Per-company figures are shown only when that company has at least 5 itemized receipts.
- Self-reported data from people who chose to post; not a random sample.
